Double Olympic gold medal-winning boxer Nicola Adams is all geared up to make her Hollywood debut with an upcoming action-thriller, titled The Gun on Second Street. The movie will also star Poppy Delevingne, Tom Arnold, and Rumer Willis in leading roles. The plot of the film is about two Pittsburgh cops whose life gets different due to a tragic incident. Officer TJ Meadows III stands at the center of the story as, during domestic violence, he inadvertently shoots and kills his partner. In pre-production currently, the film is being described as a metaphor of gun incidents in America.
It is directed by Rohit Karan Batra and while at it produced by Guy J. of Ransom Films. Some of the executive producers include Louthan and Rikin Shah. Nicola Adams retired from boxing in 2019 and has been focusing on her acting at London-based Identity School of Acting, whose alumni include John Boyega, Malachi Kirby, and Letitia Wright after an undefeated professional record.
Nicola Adam has appeared in the British television series Waterloo Road back in 2013. She also featured unique characters in such television series as The Graham Norton Show, Celebrity Gogglebox, and Strictly Come Dancing respectively. Moreso, The Gun on Second Street is her feature film. However, for now, the details about her character have been kept secret by the producers.
Nicola Adams said, "I am thrilled to accept this new challenge and bring my fighting spirit to the big screen. Boxing has taught me discipline, focus and determination. These are skills I am excited to apply to my acting career."
