Kajol Remembers Uncle at Durga Pandal, Says It Was ‘Very Difficult’

Bollywood actress Kajol shared an emotional post on her social media handle today about her late uncle, Dev Mukherjee. She also expressed how difficult this moment has been for her.
Kajol shared several photos from a Durga pandal on Instagram today. In these photos, she is seen standing in front of a magnificent idol of Goddess Durga. In some photos, Kajol is seen with Tanisha, Ayan Mukerji, and Rani Mukerji. Along with these photos, Kajol expressed how difficult it was for her to visit a Durga Puja pandal this year after the passing of her uncle, Deb Mukherjee. In the caption accompanying the post, Kajol wrote, "Due to the family loss, it was emotionally difficult to visit the pandal this time." It was emotional to step into the pandal. It was a very difficult experience after last year's losses. We miss everyone so much.
Deb Mukherjee was Ayan Mukherjee's father and Kajol, Rani, and Tanisha's uncle. He passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 83. He organized the Durga Puja pandal every year. Kajol has been a frequent attendee of the event every year.
Kajol is currently in the news for the second season of her web show "The Trial." She recently appeared in the film "Sarzameen" alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
