Bollywood actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has made it to the headlines for her spunky comments. This time she has taken on the increasing dating app culture in India. She lately, during an interview, referred to dating apps as the gutter of society and stated that these sites are meant for 'unsuccessful people', not for actual 'achievers'. After this statement of Kangana, a debate has started on social media. While many people agreed with her views, many called her old-fashioned and one-sided.

Kangana believes that if a person's mental, physical and emotional needs are being fulfilled by one partner, then he should not need to meet other people. She also said that spending time on dating apps is a sign that the person has self-doubt or lack of self-esteem, which he wants to fill by getting 'validation' i.e. praise from others.

Kangana even said in an interview with 'Hotterfly' that people try to solve emotional problems that should be solved through professional counseling or therapy through dating apps. She said, 'Every time someone is attracted to you, you are happy inside. These small happiness makes people get addicted to these apps.'

The actress has even claimed that there are no real achievers on these platforms, i.e. people who do something big in life. She believes that good life partners can be found at home, office, college or through family introductions, and not through mobile screens. According to her, if a person in a country with a population of 1.4 billion is unable to find a suitable partner around him, then perhaps the problem lies in him.

Social media has been divided into two parts on Kangana's statement. Some people said that she is right and today's relationships lack depth. At the same time, other users called her judgmental and said that she has found her true life partner through dating apps. At the same time, another user wrote - he himself has had so many relationships and he is giving gyaan to other people. At the same time, a user even wrote - 'The cat has gone to Hajj after eating 100 rats'!

A user wrote, 'I met my husband on a dating app and he is the love of my life. Apps are not bad, people are.' At the same time, another user said sarcastically, 'So now it is classy to have an arranged marriage at the behest of the boss in the office?' Overall, this statement of Kangana has given birth to a new debate.
