Sunny Deol Says He Rejects Pan Masala Ads Because His Conscience Does Not Allow It

There are various stars in the entertainment world, similar to their movies, that are extremely selective with respect to the endorsements that they take up. Certain stars do not promote products like pan masala and gutkha and are very reluctant to decline any requests. Sunny Deol happens to be one such star.

Sunny Deol was recently heard explaining his refusal to accept endorsement contracts for pan masala and gutkha, stating that he does not want to promote anything that he does not believe in. The actor has refused such offers as his conscience does not permit him to do so.

According to Sunny Deol, "I don't advertise pan masala, and I never will. I won't do any of those things. Offers come, but I won't. I refuse. I don't want to do anything I don't believe in. I don't believe in all these things."

The actor further said, "I don't think it's a good thing to endorse. I don't do so many things because my conscience doesn't allow it, so I do whatever I have to." Sunny Deol mentioned these things during a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra.

During this conversation, Sunny Deol was also asked about his lack of commercial appearances. He cited the examples of stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Ajay Devgan, who have worked in numerous commercials. Sunny Deol responded, "Even if I represent India and everything else, I still don't get advertisements. I don't know why I don't get these advertisements. Just like I wasn't getting films before, I don't have any information about advertisements either."

Sunny Deol's film "Partition 1947" was released in theaters on August 14th. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is set against the backdrop of the partition of India and Pakistan. Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi also play important roles.
