Stalin had reportedly made inappropriate comments regarding Trisha at one of his public rallies; thus, a case has been lodged against him by his party TVK, headed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. Supporting Trisha Krishnan and Vijay in this matter, he posted a story on his official Instagram account, writing, "Publicly using abusive language, double-meaning words, and cracking vulgar jokes is unacceptable in any civilized society. Mr. Stalin was jailed for this crime. He may have been released on bail by now, but this is a good example."
DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin was detained by police at his Chennai home. Speaking to reporters from inside a police van, Udhayanidhi said he found the whole thing a comedy. Stalin also clarified that he did not name anyone in his statement or say anything inappropriate. He stated that he was fully prepared to face the consequences because he was not afraid of arrest.
