Delhi High Court to Hear Hrithik Roshan’s Plea Against Commercial Misuse of His Identity

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan has moved the Delhi High Court to safeguard his personality rights. The actor has approached a court of law alleging abuse of his name and image.
Hrithik Roshan has requested protection from abuse of his name, identity, voice, and personality. He further added in the lawsuit filed in the Delhi High Court that his name is being commercially abused. The actor has requested a stay to prevent abuse and safeguard his identity from abuse on the internet or in advertisements.
Justice Manmeet Pritam Arora will hear the case on Wednesday. The petition names several known and unknown parties who allegedly used the actor's personality traits for commercial gain without permission.
Last month, the Delhi High Court passed similar protection orders in favor of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, prohibiting the unauthorized online use of their names, images, and voices. Singer Kumar Sanu recently approached the Delhi High Court, arguing that the AI-based simulcasting of his art constitutes a violation of his rights. Furthermore, Sunil Shetty also approached the Bombay High Court seeking protection of his personality rights.
