New release date announced for “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai”. First announced to be released in June, it is now slated for a May release. Recently, a teaser was released for the movie which triggered some trolling due to the use of AI in it. Director of the movie David Dhawan has clarified the matter.
The use of AI-created children in the teaser disappointed many and sparked a debate on social media. Amidst this controversy, the film's director, David Dhawan, has also spoken out. Recently, in an interview with news agency ANI, he clarified that AI has not been used in his film, but only in the teaser.
David Dhawan said, "AI has not been used at all in the film... It has been used only in the teaser. We thought of something different and made it that way. This is just a teaser. When the songs are released, you will understand that the film has nothing to do with AI."
The film is releasing in theaters on May 22, 2026. "Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai" is directed by Varun Dhawan's father and veteran director David Dhawan. This is the third film of the father-son duo of Varun and David, after "Main Tera Hero" and "Judwaa 2." Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde will be seen in lead roles in the movie.
