Key Highlights

  • Out Now: ‘Mangal Rang’ from Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana has been released simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
  • Rahman Meets Arijit: A.R. Rahman composes the track, with Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal singing the Hindi version written by Dr. Kumar Vishwas.
  • The Story It Tells: Picturised on Ranbir Kapoor (Lord Rama) and Sai Pallavi (Maa Sita), the song follows the couple from their wedding to their life beyond Ayodhya.
  • Ten Singers, One Song: Each language version has its own pair of singers, including Armaan Malik and Bela Shende in Kannada.
  • Countdown Begins: Ramayana releases worldwide on November 5, 2026, with Part 2 slated for Diwali 2027.

With the release of Ramayana just days away, the makers have unveiled ‘Mangal Rang’, a romantic track centred on Lord Rama and Maa Sita. Composed by A.R. Rahman and led by Arijit Singh’s vocals, the song features Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi and traces the couple’s journey from their wedding to their life beyond Ayodhya.

Rather than staging a grand spectacle, ‘Mangal Rang’ leans into intimacy, treating one of India’s most revered relationships as a tender, personal love story.

A Song Built for All of India

The biggest talking point is its scale of release. ‘Mangal Rang’ has been launched simultaneously in five languages, and each version carries its own voices and lyricists:
