Anurag Kashyap Opens Up About Life With Shubhra Shetty - 'I'm Very Happy, Don't Want to Lose It'

Anurag Kashyap, 53, and Shubhra Shetty, 33, have been in a relationship for nearly a decade. Recently, the filmmaker spoke about his happy life with Shubhra and whether he is considering a third marriage.

In a conversation with Janice Sequeira, Anurag Kashyap revealed that his girlfriend Shubhra Shetty doesn't believe in marriage and that being with him is enough for him. He said, "I'm very happy with her. I want to be with her. So, I'll do whatever it takes. Life happens a lot. What insecurities can an old man have?"

Anurag Kashyap further added, "I want to be healthy enough to outlive the people I love, because if that doesn't happen, what will happen next? That's the way the world works. So, I think about it a lot, but I believe that as long as we have what we have now, I'm happy with everything. I don't want to lose it."

Anurag Kashyap and Shubhra Shetty have a 20-year age gap. Because of this, the filmmaker even distanced himself from Shubhra once. He said, "There have been moments where we felt a little uncomfortable. I was more uncomfortable, and not just uncomfortable, at one point I was so uncomfortable that I tried to stay away."

He further added, "The thing is, her face doesn't reveal her age. She still looks the same. She doesn't look her age. So, as I grew older and she continued to look the same, I started feeling a little uncomfortable."

Shubhra Shetty has worked as an assistant director to Anurag Kashyap. She was associated with the filmmaker's production company, Phantom Films. Currently, she stays away from the limelight. Talking about their relationship, they were first seen in public in 2015, but they made their relationship public in 2018.

Before Shubhra Shetty, Anurag Kashyap was married twice. He first married Aarti Bajaj, whom he divorced in 2009. He has a daughter with Aarti. At the same time, he got divorced from Kalki Koechlin in 2015.
