Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Divorce Shock Hits Abhira

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai once again proved why it remains one of Indian television's most emotionally compelling dramas. The latest episode, produced by Rajan Shahi under Director's Kut Productions, is a quiet storm — no loud confrontations, no dramatic background scores drowning out the dialogue. Just two people who love each other deeply, both suffering alone, both too proud or too protective to let the other see it fully.

The episode opens with Abhira bringing Arman home after what has clearly been an exhausting ordeal. Neelesh makes a warm, unexpected visit with prasad and offers to cook — a small gesture that somehow makes the silence between Abhira and Arman feel even louder. Abhira urges Arman to eat, reminding him she has prepared his favourite dish. Arman's response is heartbreaking in its simplicity — he just wants to sleep.

What makes this scene land so hard is what goes unsaid. Arman is not being cold. He is drowning in guilt, quietly convinced that he has become a burden on the woman he loves. Abhira, on the other hand, sees herself as his equal partner — someone who signed up to carry every hardship alongside him. They are both wrong about being alone in this, and yet neither can bring themselves to say it out loud. They pretend to be fine. Neither is.

Before long, Abhira learns that Myra and Mukti have slipped off to the Poddar house against her wishes. She asks Neelesh to keep an eye on Arman and rushes over. What greets her there is more pain. Kaveri, sharp-tongued as ever, criticises Abhira for failing to keep her daughters in line and takes a pointed dig at her inability to manage Arman's situation. It is the kind of comment designed to wound — and it does.

While Abhira absorbs the blow quietly, Myra and Mukti are not willing to stay silent. They confront Kaveri directly, asking why she suddenly turned her back on Arman after everything he sacrificed for this family. It is a powerful moment — the girls holding up a mirror to the very people who raised them.

Back home, Arman has left a note for Abhira and quietly walked out of the house. When Abhira discovers this on her way back, the weight of everything she has been carrying finally breaks through. She bumps into a stranger carrying a lamp, instinctively steadies it, and receives a blessing in return. But Abhira cannot accept it gracefully — she confesses that she feels abandoned by fate and blames herself entirely for the suffering around her.

Meanwhile, Tanya pushes Disha and Aryan to come clean to the children. The truth finally surfaces — Arman was accused of raising his hand on Disha and was thrown out when he refused to apologise for something he never did. Mukti's response says everything: Arman would never apologise for a sin he did not commit.

The episode closes on Abhira returning home — guilty, uncertain, and still holding it all together by a thread.

In the precap, Abhira walks back into the Poddar house — this time not as a daughter-in-law, but as a lawyer. When the family demands to know why she is there, she delivers the episode's biggest shock: Tanya wants to divorce Krish.
