Junior artist dies due to drowning in river while shooting for Rishab Shetty's film 'Kantara 2'
Kantara 2: The shooting of the second part of the film 'Kantara', released in the year 2022, is going on these days. A sad news has come out from the shooting of this film. A junior artist working in the film died due to drowning in the river.
Currently, shooting for the film 'Kantara 2' is under process in Kollur, Karnataka. The shooting of this film, directed by and acting in Rishab Shetty, has been experiencing various issues for some months now. On Tuesday, news emerged about the death of one junior artist from Kerala, due to drowning in the river. This junior artist was working in 'Kantara 2' recently.
The death case of junior artist MF Kapil has been lodged at Kollur Police Station, the police is enquiring about the incident. Because of the death of the junior artist, the shooting of the film 'Kantara 2' is not taking place as well. The film unit informed that during the lunch break, the junior artist went swimming in the Souparnika river and was pulled away by the current. Subsequently, the rescue mission was initiated, the junior artist was traced with the assistance of locals and the firefighter department, later the junior artist's body was recovered.
This is not the first accident on the shooting of the film 'Kantara 2', earlier also a bus carrying junior artists overturned in Kollur. No one was reported injured in this incident. Due to heavy rains in the past, the expensive set of the film 'Kantara 2' was also damaged.
Rishabh Shetty's film 'Kantara 2' will be released pan India. Its first part was well liked across the country. The makers have told the release date of the film 'Kantara 2' as 2 October 2025.
