According to PTI, temple officials said that Katrina reached the temple with her friends today and performed Sarpa Samskara Pooja there, which is usually performed on someone's property or by someone's ancestors as atonement for the death of the snake deity.
Sarpa Samskara Pooja lasts for about two days. Katrina started this puja today on Tuesday and now she will continue it on Wednesday as well. This puja lasts for about four to five hours.
Katrina will be staying at the VIP guest house of the temple as the Sarpa Samskara Pooja will take two days. The puja has already begun today Tuesday and is expected to be completed by 2 pm tomorrow, Wednesday.
Sarpa Samskara is reportedly performed by people with Sarp Dosh. Sarpa Samskara Pooja is one of the pujas performed by devotees at this temple to get rid of Sarp Dosh. Devotees who have Sarpa Samskara Seva are required to stay for two days. The service takes place only during the day and there is no special puja in the evening.
