In a recent high-voltage episode of Jamai No. 1, Simaran Kaur delivered a standout performance that’s left viewers speechless. As Riddhi, the wife of Neel (played by Abhishek Malik), Simaran portrayed a powerful emotional breakdown—shot in a single take—after her husband is falsely accused of molestation by Sayli (Sonal Vengurlekar).
Produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s LSD Studios, the show is known for its gripping plot twists, but Simaran’s raw and heartfelt performance added a whole new level of emotional gravity. In the scene, Riddhi fiercely defends Neel, vowing to expose the lies and clear his name. The realism of the moment came from Simaran’s deep emotional preparation. Ahead of the shoot, she secluded herself to connect with her character’s pain and helplessness.
