Anupam Kher further said, 'I worked with him many years ago. I have seen his films. I have seen 'Metro', which was made a few years ago. I think this is his way of making the film come alive. The actors prepare in advance. But in a different way, like Basu Chatterjee or Hrishikesh Mukherjee used to work. Expressing her happiness about working with director Anurag Basu in the film, Neena Gupta said that working with him is a dream come true moment. The actress said, 'I was very excited, because it was my dream to work with him. I never thought that he would hire me. The most interesting thing about him is that suppose there is a scene where he gives us dialogues. We are doing it. He suddenly gets an idea. He says, Neena, do this.
