Anupam Kher further said, 'I worked with him many years ago. I have seen his films. I have seen 'Metro', which was made a few years ago. Very few directors have the ease that what they are making is connected to life. It is connected to their own experience. You read the script. He knows the film better. I think this is his way of making the film come alive. The actors prepare in advance. But in a different way, like Basu Chatterjee or Hrishikesh Mukherjee used to work. I would say he is a modern mix of both of them'.
