A First-Time Cast Combination

Raashii will share screen space with Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan for the first time in this film. Akshay and Bazmee have a long history: this is their fourth collaboration after “Welcome” (2007), “Singh Is Kinng” (2008) and “Thank You” (2011). It is Vidya’s second film with Bazmee after “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” (2024), and she also had a cameo in “Thank You.”

Why It Matters

Bazmee’s name is closely associated with large ensemble comedies, and a cast that mixes his regular collaborators with a newer face is typical of that approach. The wrap note also points to a relaxed set, which tends to suit the genre. For Raashii, who is better known in South Indian cinema and streaming, a film with two established Hindi stars adds to her presence in mainstream Bollywood.

There is also commercial interest. The film has reportedly bagged a ₹60 crore all-India distribution deal with PVR INOX Pictures. This figure is a report and has not been confirmed by the producers. newsbytesapp

Raashii Khanna’s Other Projects

Apart from “Mauja Hi Mauja,” Raashii has “Dharman” lined up alongside Rajinikanth. She will also return as Megha in the second season of the crime drama “Farzi.” ianslive

What Comes Next

The film’s release date has not been announced in the reports I found. With the shoot now wrapped for Raashii, audiences can expect a title announcement, a first-look teaser or a release date in the coming months. Bolly Orbit will update this report as developments emerge.
