Late actor Shashi Kapoor's grandson Zahan Kapoor has won the audience's hearts with his portrayal in the show 'Black Warrant' this year. Zahan recently opened up on nepotism in the entertainment world. Zahan explained that he never gave any undue importance to his surname. According to the actor, he was afraid of it. He also explained why he should not use his surname for undue advantage

Zahan Kapoor appeared in the role of Jailer Sunil Kumar Gupta in Vikramaditya Motwane's Netflix series 'Black Warrant'. Zahan called nepotism an unfair advantage. He said that he never took his surname lightly. In a conversation with Filmfare, Zahan explained what nepotism means. According to Zahan, 'It is an undeserved, non-merited advantage that is given to someone due to personal equation. That's what it means'.

Zahan further said that in reality the name 'Kapoor' and its baggage gave her a lot. She feels that if a door opens for her and she does not take full advantage of the opportunity, if she is not prepared, or if she does not have the means to stand on her own feet and confidently grab the opportunity, then that will be the biggest loss. Zahan said, 'It depends on me'.

According to Zahan, 'My view is that why should I not take advantage of the surname, but I should prepare myself completely. It is not as if something has been given to me for free. You think it is easy? It is your name. It took me 12 years'.
