The Anime Awards for Crunchyroll 2026 shall be held on May 23, 2026, in Tokyo, Japan. This shall mark the tenth anniversary of the award show. A lot of renowned personalities from all over the globe shall grace the occasion. Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna shall also host the event.
A myriad of films and television shows from all over the world have been nominated in various categories. 'Gachiyakuta', 'The Rose of Versailles', and 'Summer Hikaru Died' have been nominated.
The nominees for "Anime of the Year" in the tenth edition of the awards include "Dan Da Dan" Season 2, "Gachiyakuta," "My Hero Academia," "Tacopea's Original Sin," "The Apothecary Diaries" Season 2, and "The Summer Hikaru Died."
Rahul Purini, President of Crunchyroll, said in a statement, "The Crunchyroll Anime Awards is a global celebration where fans share their love with the creators behind their favorite titles. This year's nominees list includes nearly 50 unique series and films."
Award presenters will also include Rashmika Mandanna, Enako, Hannah Bang, Kasumi Arimura, Mitorizu, Nanase Nishino, Nyvi Estefan, Snitchery, and Winston Duke. Voice actress Sally Amaki and renowned entertainer Jon Kabira will host the awards. This year's awards will also feature several musical tributes to anime, including performances by Dean Fujioka.
