Agastya Nanda and Dharmendra's "Ikkis" was released in recent times and was well-received by critics. However, it did not do well in terms of its commercial success. Now, there are certain issues with the film. Trollers are saying that it glorifies Pakistan. Actress Ekavali Khanna has spoken on this.

In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Ekavali Khanna responded to the criticism of "Ikkis." She said that the accusation of praising Pakistan is absurd and that the film speaks of humanity, not politics. The actress, who plays Maryam in the film, said that this outrage ignores the true essence of the story. The pain, honesty, and losses of war. It's a deeply personal matter. So I don't think I have the right to criticize those who are uncomfortable with it. But I can speak for myself. It's an anti-war film. Nowadays, we're so entangled in these complex terminologies of enmity, enemy camps, etc. This film goes beyond that and shows so much more.

Ekaavali stated, "It is a poignant story of a father and a son." It is a poignant story from the Pakistani point of view as well. It is a humanitarian film. It is not a pro-Pakistan film in any manner whatsoever. How can it be a pro-Pakistan film? When asked about comparing '21' with 'Dhurandhar,' the actress said it was unfair. Recalling a conversation at the airport, the actress said that creatively and in terms of sensitivity, she would always choose "21" over "Dhurandhar." Such questions are often asked with the intention of grabbing headlines. For her, the film's achievement is what's most important. I am happy that thanks to this film, more people will be able to know the story of Arun Khetarpal.
