Story

In the teaser, Helen, played by Aditi Rao Hydari, arrives from Delhi at the home of Ranjan Dubey, played by Tripathi, and says she has come to work as his property manager and housekeeper. She remarks on how big the house is and asks about his family. It turns out Ranjan lives alone in the large house and is unmarried, which surprises her. The two grow close and begin spending time together, and the film will show where that friendship goes.

According to the makers, the film offers a refreshing take on romance, sprinkled with humour and the wholesome love and warmth of a family. The teaser deals with a serious theme through comedy, blending family drama, humour and romance. aninews

Why It Matters

For Tripathi, who is often cast in serious or intense roles, a rom-com is a change of register, though he has long been comfortable with comedy. The film is also the first time he and Hydari are on screen together, as Andhra Vilas notes about their first collaboration. Whether their chemistry works is something the teaser can only hint at. andhravilas

The release route is part of a wider trend. Mid-budget romantic comedies are increasingly premiering on streaming platforms rather than in cinemas, where family-friendly content can reach audiences at home.

Where to Watch

The film will stream on Sony LIV as a Sony LIV original. Sony LIV has not said when it will begin streaming. Viewers should watch the platform’s social channels for a date.

What Comes Next

A trailer and a premiere date are the next things to expect. Bolly Orbit will update this report when they are announced.
