Ranveer Singh Earns ₹325 Crore From 'Dhurandhar', Sets New Record for an Indian Actor
The Indian film industry continues to expand, and with it, actors' fees are skyrocketing. However, a new record has now been set that has taken everyone by surprise.
Dhurandhar fetched a huge earning for Ranveer Singh. Both parts of the movie were highly successful at the box office, and both movies together earned about ₹3,200 crore internationally, with more than ₹1,900 crore in India alone.
According to reports, Ranveer did not opt for his standard remuneration for Dhurandhar but opted for a profit-sharing scheme and took a percentage of the profits. As the cost of production grew, Ranveer Singh invested his own funds and thereby raised his profit percentage.
The earnings from theatrical distribution, digital rights, satellite rights, and music rights added up to give Ranveer a profit share of around ₹325 crore.
Previously, the record for the highest earnings was held by South Indian superstar Rajinikanth, who earned over ₹250 crore from the 2024 film 'Jailer'. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun and Prabhas have also earned over ₹200 crore each from their films 'Pushpa 2' and 'Kalki 2898 AD'.
In Bollywood, the record was previously held by Shah Rukh Khan, who earned around ₹200 crore per film for 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan' in 2023.
There was a time when an actor charging a fee of ₹10 crore was considered a major milestone. In the 1990s, stars like Chiranjeevi, Kamal Haasan, and Sridevi were the first to command a fee of ₹1 crore. Gradually, the 'Khan' superstars took these fees to new heights. And now, in 2026, Ranveer Singh has made history by crossing the ₹300 crore mark.
