Indian celebrities made a notable appearance at one of the tech world's biggest annual moments, as actress Tripti Dimri and singer AP Dhillon attended Apple's much-anticipated iPhone launch event, held at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. The event marked another instance of Apple extending its guest list beyond traditional tech media to include prominent international entertainment figures.
The event itself carried added significance, as it marked the unveiling of Apple's latest flagship lineup, including the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, alongside the company's first-ever foldable device. Adding to the occasion, this keynote was hosted by John Ternus, Apple's newly appointed CEO, who took over from Tim Cook earlier this month—making it his first major product keynote as the company's chief executive.
During the event, Ternus was seen personally interacting with attendees, including demonstrating features of the new devices to his Indian guests, a gesture that added a personal touch to what is typically a tightly choreographed corporate presentation.
Why It Matters: Bollywood's Growing Presence at Global Tech Events
The presence of Indian celebrities at high-profile international tech launches reflects a broader trend of overlapping influence between entertainment and technology industries. For companies like Apple, inviting prominent film and music personalities from key markets like India helps generate organic social media buzz and cross-industry visibility, extending the reach of product launches beyond core tech audiences into entertainment and lifestyle media coverage.
For celebrities, such appearances offer visibility on a global stage and alignment with premium, innovation-driven brands—an increasingly common strategy in personal brand-building for actors and musicians alike.
Fashion Moments at Apple Park
Alongside the product unveilings, attention also turned to the attendees' styling choices. Tripti Dimri was seen dressed in a red coat paired with denim, opting for a casual yet statement-making look, while AP Dhillon kept his appearance understated in a grey jacket. Photos and videos capturing their presence at the event, including moments with Ternus, quickly gained traction across social media platforms.
Tripti Dimri's Busy Work Slate
On the professional front, Tripti Dimri has an eventful lineup ahead. She is set to appear in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film "Spirit," where she will star opposite Prabhas. This comes after her last release, "O Romeo," in which she shared screen space with Shahid Kapoor. Her expanding filmography, paired with high-visibility appearances like this Apple event, points to a steadily rising profile both within and beyond Bollywood circles.
A Broader Pattern of Celebrity Apple Invitations
This isn't the first time Apple has extended invitations to Indian celebrities for its launch events. Previous years have seen other prominent personalities attend similar keynotes, reflecting a consistent strategy by the tech giant to engage high-profile figures from key international markets during its most significant product announcements of the year.
What's Next
As reactions to the event continue to circulate online, both Tripti Dimri and AP Dhillon are likely to see heightened visibility from their association with Apple's latest launch. With Tripti's upcoming pan-India project "Spirit" already generating anticipation, and AP Dhillon continuing to build his international music presence, their appearance at this marquee tech event adds another notable chapter to both their growing global profiles.
