As famous singer and musician, Adnan Sami has acquired Indian citizenship, still, he is in the line of fire among Pakistanis. Pakistanis still tend to ridicule Adnan Sami all the time. Now, the singer reacted to such discussions and criticisms. He commented that it is similar to an ex-fling who could not see you getting on. While it is my songs that all the time allure people's hearts.

In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Adnan Sami talked about his citizenship. Which is discussed more than his music. He said that the reaction I am getting is more due to emotions than criticism. I understand the mindset behind such reactions. Even if they arise strangely or emotionally. Many people do not know the circumstances under which I have taken this decision. It is not right for anyone to assume that they understand my reasons.

The singer said that my choice was my personal one. Referring to the tension between India and Pakistan, he said that while global migration is accepted all over the world, my decision is still criticized.

Adnan Sami also expressed displeasure over not getting proper respect from the Pakistani government during his decades-long music career. He said that despite contributing to the industry for almost 40 years, I was never honored or rewarded by the authorities of Pakistan. However, my issues were never with the people of Pakistan. My fans will always be special to me. I was angry only with the government of Pakistan, not with the people of Pakistan. The general public has always given me a lot of love and I feel a deep connection with them.

As an artist, Adnan Sami says that he has no grudge against anyone. While some people may be angry at my choice, I also see it as love. I hope everything will be fine with time. My music is for everyone, without any limits or conditions. I welcome everyone who wants to join it.
