Govinda has given many good films in his career. These are 'Hero No. 1', 'Raja Babu' and 'Aankhen'. Apart from these, his performances and dancing in many films are remembered. But these days his fans are not pleased as he is not visible on the screen. Many have the belief that Govinda is arrogant, so his career has declined. With his attitude, his directors and producers too didn't want to be in a project with him. Director Pahlaj Nihalani has, in a recent interview, made public what is not right with Govinda.

In a conversation with the Learn from the Legend podcast, Pahlaj Nihalani said, 'Govinda was full of uncertainty about everything. His father was Mehboob Khan's favourite. He was also a film producer. He suffered losses many times. He suffered so much, yet many things slipped out of his hands and he had to struggle. All these things settled inside him. That is why his attitude became like this.'

He said about Govinda, 'He tried to earn money somehow. He had responsibilities of his siblings. He was always entangled in money. He wanted to do everything. His attitude became like this. He had a lot of work and pressure. He had also become delusional. All these things kept eating him up. However, you will not find an actor like Govinda.'

Pahlaj Nihalani said about Govinda, 'He worked in 'Shola Aur Shabnam'. He had no work at that time. When he had no work, I gave him the film 'Shola Aur Shabnam'. He was doing comedy for the first time in it. Then he had no work, so I gave him the film 'Aankhen'. I changed his image. 'Shola Aur Shabnam' and 'Aankhen' are both opposites of each other. I made him capable of that role.'
