Jonita Gandhi used to get nasty comments for facial hair, singer said- people called me Godzilla  

Jonita Gandhi is a very familiar name when it comes to music. Recently, the singer gave an interview, and her personal and professional life were discussed. During this, it was shared by the singer that bad comments regarding her face and hair were given by people, and these were affecting her negatively.

Jonita Gandhi participated in a conversation with Hotterfly. There she shared the bad experiences of her personal life and also told about being harassed about her facial hair. The singer said, 'When I was growing up, I had a lot of hair on my face, due to which people used to tease me and say bad things. They used to call me Godzilla. I think they just thought I was ugly. I used to come home and cry. Even the Punjabi boys in my class used to make fun of me. I was not able to accept my body myself, so how would anyone else accept it.'

Further in the conversation, singer Jonita Gandhi said, 'I still have that fear inside me, but music changed my life. It made me feel that I was doing something different in life, while nothing else felt good to me. Even when I did shows in Toronto, I did not wear good clothes. I used to wear kurti, while everyone wore a lehenga. I think I am an ugly duck who has become a swan.'

Jonita Gandhi has sung songs in the films 'Chhava' and 'Nadaniyaan' in the year 2025. Apart from Hindi, she has also sung songs in Punjabi and Tamil films. She has also worked with AR Rahman.
