Kavi Kumar played the role of Doctor Hathi in 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma'. He passed away in the year 2018. He was replaced by Nirmal Verma. Kush Shah, who acted as Goli in the show, remembers him. He quit working for further education. Kush has discussed experiencing body shaming due to weight gain in a podcast episode of Just Kidding with Sid.

Talking about body shaming due to being overweight, Kush Shah said, 'I think I am lucky. Think of an obese child in school, how difficult it is to stay in a normal Indian school. People do not let you live in peace. I was still able to manage because I was famous. I had to face bullying by goons. Since I became famous, I have been saved a little. But it has also had an adverse effect. People say you have become thin. You have lost weight because you have taken it to heart. But no one has harassed me so much that I lose weight.'

Remembering poet Kumar Azad, Kush Shah said, 'I did not have tears in my eyes when Azad uncle left. I kept questioning myself that I have lost some of my close people, but why am I not getting emotional. I used to question myself but then I realized that my way of expressing grief is different. I do not cry, but I keep thinking about him. Like when I used to do a scene, I used to think what Azad uncle would have done if he were there.' Kush told that Azad uncle was a great poet.

Talking about Kavi Kumar, he said, 'An interesting thing about him is that if you are from Mumbai, you must have heard about Kusum Rolls in Malad. He started that business because he loved Kusum Rolls. He is no more but he settled his family. He used to treat everyone with love. He was a wonderful person. I love him.'
