Miss World contestants took a spiritual journey, reached Buddhavanam on Buddha Purnima
Miss World Contestant, 72nd Miss World Contestant Visit Buddhavanam: On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, the contestants of the '72nd Miss World Festival' visited Buddhavanam. During this spiritual journey, they experienced the spiritual energy of Lord Buddha and learned about the major events of his life.

During the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, the contestants participating in the '72nd Miss World Festival' from the Asian and Oceanic countries came to Buddhavanam. Buddhavanam is a well-known Buddhist location in Nagarjunasagar in the Nalgonda district of Telangana. The trip is a significant component of the festival schedule to gain knowledge about Telangana's history and culture.
The Miss World contestants had this spiritual experience. The contestants found peace at Nagarjunasagar and took a photo session. Following this, the contestants visited Buddhavanam, a well-known Buddhist theme park situated on the northern shore of the Krishna river. It is a project conceived by the Telangana government that aims at depicting the life and teachings of Gautam Buddha.
Apart from the visit to Buddhavanam, the contestants participated in a meditation session inside the stupa followed by the Bailaikuppa Maha Bodhi Puja by 25 Buddhist monks. It encouraged introspection and spiritual connection. The visit concluded with a theatrical performance by 18 artists capturing key events from the life of the Buddha.
The contestants will then return to Hyderabad for the next leg of their journey. They will include a heritage walk at Charminar and Laad Bazaar on May 13. This will be followed by a royal reception and dinner at the historic Chowmahalla Palace. The 72nd Miss World Festival will conclude on May 31.
