'Ajey' First Look Revealed on Yogi Adityanath’s Birthday, Film Drops Next August

Samrat Cinematics has announced the worldwide theatrical release of its highly anticipated film, Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi, on August 1, 2025. The announcement was made on the occasion of Yogi Adityanath’s birthday, along with the unveiling of a striking new poster featuring actor Anantvijay Joshi in the titular role.
The poster presents Joshi in saffron robes, exuding spiritual strength and leadership. His intense gaze and commanding posture capture the essence of a man driven by conviction and duty. The film, inspired by Shantanu Gupta’s bestselling biography The Monk Who Became Chief Minister, chronicles the extraordinary journey of a spiritual ascetic who rose to become one of India’s most influential political leaders.
Producer Ritu Mengi expressed, “Announcing the release date on Yogiji’s birthday is a tribute to his inspiring life. ‘Ajey’ is a story of transformation, sacrifice, and dharma that will resonate deeply with audiences.”
The film boasts a stellar cast, including Paresh Rawal, Dineshlal Yadav ‘Nirahua’, Ajay Mengi, Rajesh Khattar, Pawan Malhotra, and Garima Vikrant Singh. Directed by Ravindra Gautam, the screenplay is penned by Dilip Bachchan Jha and Priyank Dubey, with music by Meet Bros.
The technical team includes Vishnu Rao as Director of Photography and Udai Prakash Singh as Production Designer. AA Films (Anil Thadani) will handle nationwide distribution, ensuring a wide commercial reach.
