Akshaye Khanna's film will be released in theaters after four years of coming on OTT, name changed

Usually, films are released later on OTT platforms compared to theatres. But there is one film of Akshaye Khanna that is being released in theatres four years after landing on OTT platforms. The name of that film changed, too.
Actor Akshaye Khanna's OTT film 'State of Siege: Temple Attack', released in 2021, is finally set to hit movie theaters after four years. The film is being released in theaters with its new name. Now the film will be released in theaters on July 4 with a new name, 'Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti'.
The makers themselves have announced the release of the film in theaters. A poster related to the film has been shared on social media by the makers. It shows a frightening glimpse of the pillars of the temple. Along with this, the shadow of a commando with a gun in his hand is visible. The caption with this reads, "A terrorist incident faced with unmatched bravery. The story of courage, sacrifice and survival comes alive. 'Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti' in theaters from July 4. "
Directed by Ken Ghosh, the film is based on the story of the tragic terrorist attack on the Akshardham temple in Gujarat in 2002 and the counter-operation carried out by India's elite National Security Guard (NSG) to neutralize the terrorists. The film is a standalone sequel to the web series 'State of Siege: 26/11', which focused on the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Akshay Khanna plays NSG officer Major Hanut Singh in the film. The rest of the cast of the film includes Gautam Rode, Vivek Dahiya, Akshay Oberoi and Abhilash Chaudhary.
