Anurag will present 'Songs of Forgotten Trees' at 82nd Venice Film Festival
Anurag Kashyap, Songs Of Forgotten Trees: Anurag Kashyap, who often praises new talents, will now present the debut film of new director Anuparna Roy.

Veteran Bollywood producer-director Anurag Kashyap has become a presenter for 'Songs of Forgotten Trees'. Anurag is promoting this film to be screened at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. Director Anuparna Roy has already made her debut with this film. Her directorial debut film is the sole Indian film for its world premiere at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. This festival will be conducted in Venice Lido, Italy from 27 August to 6 September of this year.
'Songs of Forgotten Trees', based on the relationship between two migrant women in Mumbai, will be screened in the Orizzonti section. It is a global festival that concentrates on debutants, fresh talents and independent feature films and less mainstream cinema for movies portraying new trends and concerns. Starring Naaz Sheik and Sumi Baghel, the movie is directed by Bibhanshu Rai, Romil Modi and Ranjan Singh.
On presenting the film, Anurag Kashyap says, “I have always believed in supporting new talent, especially those who want to say something different and challenge the norms with their ideas and beliefs. Ranjan and I have been associated with many such films over the years, and it is great to see such new talents constantly emerging. Anuparna is definitely one such voice.”
