Apart from acting, Shammi Kapoor was fond of new things, he used this technology before coming to India

Shammi Kapoor was known as the most charming actor of Bollywood. He would perform magic on screen with his peculiar way of doing things. Besides the film industry set, one thing else that Shammi Kapoor enjoyed the most was technology. Decades back, when folks heard only about the Internet, Shammi Kapoor was utilizing the Internet.

In the early 1990s, when the Internet was new even in the West, he used the Internet. He came to the Internet through Apple Inc., a connection created by Steve Jobs' company. According to TOI, Shammi Kapoor said in an interview, 'I used the Internet when it had not come to India. The Internet came to India in 1995. I used it through Apple. They gave us a website called eWorld.'

In 1994, British Telecom VSNL gave him a connection. However, VSNL was not officially launched in India till then. For many people, this was a completely new and surprising thing.

At that time, Shammi Kapoor decided that he should create something memorable. With the help of his desktop and internet, he created a website. This website had information about the Kapoor family. The website had pictures of the Kapoor family and pictures of their films. This website still exists.

Shammi Kapoor was born on 21 October 1931. He worked in about 100 films in his career. He acted in films like Junglee, Professor, Kashmir Ki Kali, Teesri Manzil, Brahmachari. He died on 14 August 2011.
