The investigation into the October 18 firing at Tiger Shroff’s car in Juhu has produced another arrest. DCP Raj Tilak Roushan confirmed the arrest on the night of October 29, bringing the total arrested to 12. freepressjournalaaplamahanagar
Police say he is from Rohna village in Haryana’s Sonipat district and is a friend of Kunal, who was arrested earlier. Kunal was among the four people reported arrested by Delhi Police’s Special Cell in connection with the supply of the pistol. Police will question Aman about his alleged role in the conspiracy and about who ordered the transactions. The source text says “suspicious transactions” and money moving between accused persons’ accounts; reports so far describe one reported ₹50,000 credit, and what it was for is yet to be established. aajtak
MCOCA Invoked
Police invoked MCOCA on Tuesday against the 11 accused arrested so far, and on Thursday a special court remanded all of them to police custody until November 6. The source text says the provisions were invoked on Thursday, but the Thursday event was the court remand after re-arrest. The police had asked for 10 days of custody, and permission to apply MCOCA was granted by the competent authority on October 27. The accused were produced before special judge Satyanarayan Navandar. daijiworldlatestly
What MCOCA Changes
Under MCOCA, confessions recorded before an officer of Deputy Commissioner of Police rank are admissible as evidence, while ordinary law requires a magistrate. It also allows up to 180 days to file a chargesheet, compared with 90 days under ordinary law. The law was also used in the 2024 firing case outside Salman Khan’s home, so its use here follows precedent in Mumbai’s cases of alleged gang violence. The accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty. deccanchronicledaijiworld
The Incident
The firing occurred on October 18 as Shroff left a football ground in Juhu, and two assailants allegedly fired five rounds at his car. Reports differ on who was injured, with some naming the driver and a vlogger. Social media posts purportedly from members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility, but police have not verified the claim. daijiworld
Why It Matters
The case is moving from the shooters to the financial and logistical network behind them. Bank trails are often what connect those who supply weapons, money and shelter to the main conspirators. The invocation of MCOCA signals that police see this as organised crime, which affects how long the accused can be held and how their statements may be used.
What Comes Next
On or before November 6, the accused will be produced before the court, when police may seek further custody. Aman is expected to be produced separately and could be added to the MCOCA case. Bolly Orbit will update this report as developments emerge.
