Priya Marathe, who made a name in every household with popular shows like 'Pavitra Rishta', said goodbye to this world at the age of just 38. Fighting a long battle with cancer, she breathed her last on 31 August 2025 at her home in Mira Road, Mumbai.
Her untimely death not only plunged her family and friends into deep mourning but also stunned the entire television industry and audience.
Her cousin and Marathi actor Subodh Bhave paid an emotional tribute, describing her as a "fighter sister", saying Priya faced every difficulty with great courage but the disease ultimately took her life.
