Shiv Kumar Subramaniam was born on December 23, 1959, in Mumbai, India. He completed his education in the city of Pune. His childhood fascination was acting and the performing arts. He learned his craft in the theater industry. His skills in acting made him famous in the movies and TV industry.
Shiv Kumar Subramaniambegan his career in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film 'Parinda' in the year 1989. He was associated as the screenplay writer and assistant director in the film. The film was successful and brought him the Filmfare Award. He has also penned the story of films such as '1942: A Love Story,' 'Chameli,' and 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi,' and in the latter, he won the Filmfare Award for Best Story. His roles in 'Kaminey', 'Teen Patti', 'Two States', 'Hichki', and numerous other films and TV shows captured the hearts of people.
Shiv Kumar Subramaniam's greatest strength was that he never stopped working even while battling a serious illness like cancer. This reflects his hard work, passion, and love for his craft.
