A new update has emerged regarding the film 'Don 3'. Ranveer Singh has reportedly been removed from the film. Now, Farhan Akhtar has approached the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) to lodge a complaint against the actor. The ‘Dhurandhar’ star was roped in to play the lead role in the film but due to an alleged spat between him and the makers, the film is on hold.

The film body FWICE will review the matter and present its views at a press conference on May 25th. In an official statement, FWICE stated that it will discuss the matter between Akhtar and Ranveer during the press conference. The federation further stated that the complaint was received through its affiliate organization, the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA), of which Akhtar is a member.

There have been increasing speculations regarding "Don 3" since it was rumored that Ranveer Singh had backed out of it. There hasn’t been any confirmation from the actor’s end, but the rumors claim that there have been some differences with regards to the script and the movie’s direction.

Media reports also stated that Akhtar had recently considered replacing Singh. However, the success of "Dhurandhar" altered those plans. Later, reports emerged that Singh was beginning to reconsider his film choices based on his newfound success.

It is also claimed that Excel Entertainment was considering demanding compensation of approximately ₹40 crore (approximately ₹40 crore), citing the investment already made in pre-production and the disruptions to shooting schedules. According to reports, Singh had reportedly agreed to pay compensation of this amount.
