Media reports also stated that Akhtar had recently considered replacing Singh. However, the success of "Dhurandhar" altered those plans. Later, reports emerged that Singh was beginning to reconsider his film choices based on his newfound success.
It is also claimed that Excel Entertainment was considering demanding compensation of approximately ₹40 crore (approximately ₹40 crore), citing the investment already made in pre-production and the disruptions to shooting schedules.
