Rajinikanth's new project 'Jailer 2' will be available in cinemas starting from October 15, in the midst of the holidays period. The production team believes that the long weekend will bring additional success to the movie in terms of its performance at the box office.
The movie is produced under the direction of Nelson Dilipkumar, the director of the first 'Jailer'. As well as in the first 'Jailer', Anirudh Ravichander is responsible for music in the film. Filming has been completed recently.

The first "Jailer" told the story of a retired jailer, Muthuvel Pandian, who turns to his old underworld connections when his son is threatened. With action, dark comedy, and a stylish story, the film was one of the biggest hits of 2023.
The star cast for "Jailer 2" is set to be even larger this time around. It's reported that Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar will reprise their cameo roles.
