Kangana Ranaut Links Industry Criticism to Films on Pakistan During Promotion of Bharat Bhagya Vidhata

Actress and MP Kangana Ranaut is actively engaged in the promotion of her upcoming film Bharat Bhagya Vidhata. She was recently asked about the rumors that actor Ranveer Singh is being victimized by the film industry. Initially, she did not react to the question, but soon after she did comment on it.
In a conversation with News 18, Kangana Ranaut was asked why Ranveer Singh has suddenly become a target in the industry. To this, she replied, "Ask him, how do I know?" When the host pointed out that Kangana herself has faced similar targeting in the past and asked for her thoughts on the actor, she addressed the issue.
Kangana Ranaut said about Ranveer Singh, "I want to say that there's a bit of love for Pakistan in this industry. Most of the films teach us to love Pakistan, don't they?"
When told that Ranveer Singh's film "Dhurandhar" had recently been released, Kangana agreed and continued. She said, "Yes, that's exactly what... When a film comes out that shows us the true face of Pakistan... then it pains them to wonder what value they've had to date."
Directed by Manoj Tapadia, "Bharat Bhagya Vidhata" is the story of the nurses at Cama Hospital who cared for approximately 400 patients during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. The film also stars Kangana Ranaut, Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, and Esha Dey. The film released in theaters today, June 12, 2026.
