After Separation From Reena Dutta, Aamir Khan Battled Alcohol Addiction for 1.5 Years

Mr. Perfectionist himself, Aamir Khan, who is well-known for being the perfect person in films, had gone through rough times and began drinking alcohol. He would consume alcohol on a daily basis for more than a year, and a lot of people found it shocking.
In an interview, Aamir admitted that once his first wife Reena Dutta divorced him and took their children away, he was done for. Recently, he appeared in a podcast and revealed that he never consumed alcohol until he went mad following his divorce.
Aamir said, "I never drank alcohol before." But the day Reena left home with the kids, I was left alone and couldn't handle my emotions. That very night I started drinking.
He further explained, "For about a year and a half after that, I drank a whole bottle almost every night. For someone who had never drunk, this was a huge change." Aamir's statement clearly shows the difficult times he was going through at that time. However, he later pulled himself together and got his life back on track.
It's worth noting that Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta were married in 1986 and separated in 2002. They have two children, Junaid and Ira. Aamir married Kiran Rao for the second time in 2005, after which they separated in 2021. Since then, they have been raising their son, Azad, together.
