Story

The first season struck a chord with audiences for its inspiring story of Awali, an ordinary village woman who rose to become Sarpanch and challenged deep-rooted social norms. Season 2 picks up where that journey left off, with Awali facing her toughest test yet with introduction of character called Nana, her political rival as political conspiracies, misinformation, fractured relationships, and the growing water crisis threaten both her leadership and the future of her village.

The newly launched trailer hints at a high-stakes battle where power clashes with integrity, personal ambition collides with public welfare, and every decision carries lasting consequences. As trust begins to erode, Awali must once again prove that true leadership is built not on authority, but on courage, honesty, and resilience.

Headlined by Devika Daftardar in the lead role, the series also stars acclaimed Marathi actors Kishore Kadam, Milind Shinde, Ashwini Kulkarni, and a strong ensemble cast. Directed by Santosh Kolhe, Saubhagyawati Sarpanch – Season 2 continues to blend emotionally engaging storytelling with socially relevant themes rooted in rural Maharashtra.

Speaking about the new season, Sushilkumar Agrawal, Founder & CEO, Ultra Media & Entertainment Group, shared "The overwhelming response to the first season reaffirmed that audiences are embracing Marathi stories that are authentic, meaningful, and entertaining. With Season 2, we have expanded the narrative with higher emotional stakes and relevant issues such as grassroots governance, water conservation, and women-led leadership. We believe the new season will resonate with audiences across Maharashtra and the global Marathi diaspora."

With successful originals like IPC, Raakh, Khotachiwadi, 8 Waajun 13 Minite, and now the return of one of its flagship franchises, Ultra Jhakaas OTT continues to strengthen its position as a leading destination for original Marathi entertainment.
