Christmas 2025 Box Office: Kartik Aaryan–Ananya Panday Film Struggles in Advance Bookings

The Christmas week has always been a very critical period for the Hindi film industry. The performance of all the movies released during this week was decided in a span of a few days. It looks a similar situation may emerge once again during the Christmas of 2025 for "Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri," a romantic comedy starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday. The movie is facing a very tough challenge in advance box office sales.

The advance booking figures, released just a day before the film's release, are a cause for concern for the film. Only about 50,000 tickets have been sold for the film's opening day so far at the country's major multiplex chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis. This figure is considered quite low for a high-profile romantic film, especially with a bankable star like Kartik Aaryan in the lead role.

Currently, the film "Dhurandhar," starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, and the rest of the powerful star cast, is outselling other films in theaters. Reports suggest that "Dhurandhar" is partly responsible for the low advance bookings, as people are only interested in seeing "Dhurandhar" at this time.

However, an interesting strategy may be seen on Christmas Day. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, theater owners have decided to reduce some shows of "Avatar 3" on December 25th to allow Kartik Aaryan's film to get more screen space. It is being reported that approximately 30 percent of shows may be cut. The reason behind this decision is believed to be Kartik Aaryan's strong fan following and an attempt to secure an opening day result.

The industry is now focused on the film's first-day walk-in audience. It's believed that if word-of-mouth publicity remains positive, the film could benefit from the Christmas weekend. However, if that doesn't happen, this competition will once again prove how important timing and marketing, along with content, play during the festive season. It will be interesting to see how "Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri" can prove itself in the Christmas clash, or whether "Dhurandhar" and "Avatar 3" will continue to dominate.
