Bhoot Bangla crosses ₹200 crore worldwide as Akshay Kumar–Priyadarshan reunion wins big

Akshay Kumar's latest movie Bhoot Bangla is currently out in theatres. This movie reunites Akshay Kumar with director Priyadarshan after almost 16 long years. The movie is a commercial success at the box office.
After its release, the movie has made more than 200 crores rupees globally. Earlier there were rumours that the role of Tabu was scrapped in the movie. However, Priyadarshan has clarified this rumour.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, director Priyadarshan addressed the rumors that Tabu was upset about her role. Reports also claimed that his role was reduced during editing and Akshay Kumar was being blamed for this.
Refuting all these claims, Priyadarshan said, "I don't know who or why is spreading these negative reports. I am the director of 'Bhoot Bangla,' and I decide what to include and what not."
He further said, "The film was a huge success, but some people are still trying to spread negativity. Tabu is not angry at all. I have done eight films with her; if she was angry, she would have definitely told me. She is happy. Everything she shot is in the film."
There were also reports that Tabu's role was reduced at Akshay Kumar's request to increase her screen time. Priyadarshan clarified that Akshay does not interfere in the editing process.
He said, "Akshay never asked me to edit any part; he never does that." I do my work honestly, and every actor watches the film before its release. Anyone spreading such rumors should be ashamed.
About 'Bhoot Bangla' 'Bhoot Bangla' was released on April 17th. Directed by Priyadarshan, it is a horror-comedy film. It stars Akshay Kumar, Vamika Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Mithila Palkar, and Asrani.
