Queen (2014), directed by Vikas Bahl, transformed Kangana's life and career. This film became very successful at the box office, and Kangana won the award of the best actress at the National Film Awards. Subsequently, Kangana and Vikas began discussing making a sequel to Queen.

Kangana Ranaut confirmed working on the sequel in an interview with news agency ANI. However, she did not reveal any other important details about the film. When asked if she has started shooting for "Queen 2," Kangana confirmed her collaboration with filmmaker Vikas Bahl, saying, "Vikas Bahl and I are coming together, but I can't reveal much. Yes, I am acting again."

However, Kangana didn't reveal much about "Queen 2." She recalled her experiences working on the first film and paid tribute to renowned singer Asha Bhosle. She shared that she had the opportunity to dance to Asha Tai's famous song "Hungama Ho Gaya" in the film. Kangana said, "I am heartbroken. I am deeply saddened by this loss, because such people are born only once in a century. Such people will never be born again."

When we were making "Queen," we wanted to include the song "Hungama" in the film, and Vikas said we would re-record it. I said, "You can't remove that voice. You'll never find a voice like that again." So, we recreated the song in Asha ji's voice." Renowned Indian singer Asha Bhosle passed away on April 12th at the age of 92. She died of multi-organ failure.
