Rakul Preet Singh Compares Bollywood and Tollywood Work Culture, Says Telugu Film Industry Feels Like a Family
Rakul Preet on Tollywood and Bollywood: Actress Rakul Preet Singh recently spoke about the Tollywood and Bollywood film industries. Praising the Telugu film industry, she noted that people there are open in their support for one another.
Rakul Preet Singh, an actress, has performed in numerous Telugu and Hindi films. Recently, she made a remark about the work culture in both industries. She said that Tollywood is like a family atmosphere, whereas Bollywood has its own culture.
Speaking to 'Bollywood Hungama', Rakul Preet Singh shared that the Telugu industry has always welcomed and supported her warmly. According to Rakul, actors, directors, and producers there are always ready to encourage one another. She noted that they happily promote each other's trailers, attend film events, and celebrate successes together. She believes this kind of support fosters a happy and positive environment for everyone.
Rakul Preet Singh reflected on what she has learned, stating, "I feel we are truly lagging behind. I was trained in the Telugu film industry, and that industry is very united. I have often said that when I came to Bombay, I suddenly wondered why everyone was so competitive. There is competition there too, but people support each other's films." In contrast, she noted that she often senses a feeling of insecurity among people in the Hindi film industry. She added that this is why many people do not openly support others' films.
Rakul Preet Singh further added, "We used to attend each other's film screenings or premieres, talk about the movies, or celebrate at success parties. It wasn't a matter of 'so-and-so is going, so I will go too'; everyone was simply ready to help one another." I feel that if we could bring that same spirit to the Mumbai film industry, we could become truly strong. I believe a sense of insecurity holds us back, and this is something one needs to work on personally. Rakul Preet Singh believes that if people stand by and support one another, the industry could become even stronger. On the work front, Rakul was last seen in 'Pati Patni Aur Woh 2', which also featured Ayushmann Khurrana, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Sara Ali Khan in pivotal roles.
