A Warm Family Moment Shared Publicly
South cinema star Dhanush offered fans a glimpse into his personal life, sharing a heartwarming family photograph with his mother and sisters on social media. In the picture, posted on Sunday, his mother and sisters are seen seated together while Dhanush sits on the floor near his mother's feet, with all four smiling warmly for the camera. The "Tere Ishq Mein" actor captioned the post simply, "My blessings," accompanied by a string of red and white heart emoticons, a brief but affectionate tribute to the women in his family.
A Contrasting Look Back at His Early Career
The personal post arrives alongside a separate and revealing account from Dhanush's father, director and actor Kasthuri Raja, who recently shared insights into his son's initial reluctance toward a career in cinema, a striking contrast to Dhanush's current status as one of South Indian cinema's most successful and versatile stars.
Kasthuri Raja's Revelation
Speaking at the pre-release event of "Love Oh Love," a film headlined by his grandson Pavish, Kasthuri Raja recalled that among his family's three directors, only Selvaraghavan, Dhanush's elder brother, had entered the film industry willingly. Dhanush, by contrast, reportedly showed little interest in cinema during his earliest years in the industry. "Dhanush did not like cinema. Until he completed five or six films, he did not like cinema. When I made 'Thulluvadho Ilamai,' he would keep telling me, 'Dad, let me go. I will leave.' He would cry before the shot while shooting for Thulluvadho Illamai," Kasthuri Raja said.
