Ryan Reynolds Confirms New Deadpool Movie Is in Development, Says He Will Return as Wade Wilson
Deadpool Next Part: Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds has shared some great news with fans. A major update regarding the next ‘Deadpool’ installment has emerged. Here are the details.
According to Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds, the production of a new Deadpool movie has begun, and he will reprise his role of Wade Wilson.
This was announced by him at the Fanatics Fest 2026. Prior to that, he appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine along with Hugh Jackman, which was widely appreciated by the audience.
During the event, Ryan mentioned that there are still many interesting aspects of the comics left to explore in the films. He stated, "There are many things that haven't been shown in the movies yet. Some fantastic work has been done by writers like Fabian Nicieza and Gerry Duggan, whom I really admire."
He added, "Something new is coming... and yes, another ‘Deadpool’ film will definitely be made down the line. It’s going to be amazing." According to reports, the film is currently in the early stages of development, and no writer or director is attached to it yet. Marvel Studios has also not issued an official statement on the matter so far.
This update follows the massive success of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ (2024). In that film, Hugh Jackman returned as Wolverine, and Ryan reprised the role of Wade Wilson.
That film became the highest-grossing R-rated movie in history, earning $1.338 billion worldwide.
Meanwhile, Marvel's upcoming film ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is scheduled for release in India on July 30. This film will feature Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, and Michael Mando.
Additionally, Marvel Studios has released the first trailer for *Avengers: Doomsday*. In it, Chris Evans will be seen returning as Steve Rogers, joining forces with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor to confront Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.
Characters from the X-Men and Fantastic Four will also appear alongside the Avengers for the first time in *Avengers: Doomsday*. The film is set to release in theaters on December 18, 2026.
