Meanwhile, Hasmuk steps out for an evening walk, choosing to forgo a heavy meal for health reasons. Noticing the café door unusually ajar, he enters to investigate — calling out for Anupama and Anku. The two cross paths inside under circumstances neither anticipated. What follows quickly turns sinister: a hired operative working on Gautam's orders stealthily severs the kitchen's gas pipe and locks both of them inside from the outside.
Within moments, Anupama detects the unmistakable smell of gas and pieces together the trap. In a striking display of selflessness, she instructs Hasmuk to cover his face and screams for help, prioritising his safety over her own.

Across town, Gautam watches events unfold with calculated satisfaction. The episode draws a clear moral distinction between his co-conspirator Vasundhara — whose intent was to weaken Anupama — and Gautam himself, whose ambitions are far more destructive.
The rescue arrives through an unlikely hero. Back at the Shah residence, Digvijay is roused by Jaya's panic, and Banku reveals Anupama's late-night visit to the café. Simultaneously, Leela realises Hasmuk has not returned home. The two converge on the café, detect the gas leak, and Digvijay — without hesitation — breaks through the locked door and pulls both victims to safety. However, Hasmuk collapses unconscious, throwing the gathered family into a state of terror.
At the hospital, doctors confirm Anupama is stable but warn that Hasmuk's condition remains critical. A distraught Anupama stays by his side, urging him to hold on.
Back within the household, the investigation gains momentum. Prem raises the alarm that the gas pipe was deliberately cut — ruling out any possibility of an accident. Gautam attempts to redirect suspicion toward Shruti, but Rahi swiftly counters, pointing the finger squarely at Gautam. Shruti, in her defence, vehemently denies any involvement, particularly asserting she would never endanger Rahi.
The episode also marks a quiet but significant shift in how the family perceives Digvijay. Even the typically critical Leela publicly acknowledges his courage, contrasting his decisive action with the paralysis of those around him. The acknowledgement signals a potential turning point for the character's standing within the Shah household dynamics.
