Originally, this post was shared from an Instagram account named 'The Better India'.
This post shows a dialogue between a grandmother and granddaughter. The granddaughter asks, 'Grandma, why am I not allowed to come into the kitchen during periods?' The grandmother replies, 'Who forbade you? Beta, this is old thinking'. The post reads, 'From pickles to plants to open hair to old fears. A grandmother gently breaks every myth related to menstruation with logic, love, and wisdom, because the only thing that is 'impure' is silence and shame, which we have allowed to remain for too long. Now the time has come to question everything we have been told and listen to the voices that have the courage to speak'.
