There have been many reports of divorce between actor Govinda and Sunita Ahuja in recent days. Both have denied this rumour completely. Recently, Sunita has again accused actor Govinda of having an affair with several women. This has again given a signal to fans that there may be some problem in their relationship. But there was a time when actor Govinda confessed his love in front of everyone. In an interview given to Stardust magazine, actor Govinda confessed his liking for actress Neelam.
In this interview, Govinda revealed that he loved Neelam and wanted to marry her. However, his marriage had already been fixed with Sunita. They were even engaged. He broke off the engagement with Sunita for Neelam. Despite all this, he and Neelam couldn't reunite because Govinda's mother wanted Sunita as her daughter-in-law. Ultimately, the actor was forced to marry Sunita out of fear and commitment to his mother.
During the interview, Govinda said, "I had decided to marry Sunita. I was maintaining this relationship. But I had a special attraction towards Neelam Kothari. I noticed that despite achieving fame and name at such a young age, she was quite simple. I praised her to my friends, family, and everyone around her. I even told Sunita to emulate Neelam." Sunita would feel bad hearing this and would say, "I will remain the way I am, and that's how you loved me."
Regarding his relationship with Sunita, Govinda said that he never expected this outing to develop into a relationship. He was on the path to success and was looking for a girl to date. One day, his elder brother arrived on set. He had a romantic shoot scheduled that day, but he couldn't manage it properly. His brother advised him that actors should have an affair with someone to feel comfortable in such scenes. Govinda further said, "After listening to this advice from my brother, I met Sunita, and I paid a heavy price for it."
