Mufasa: The Lion King has emerged as a successful film worldwide and is very popular in India too. It started with Rs 7.50 crore, but since then it has progressed a lot. On the first day of 2025 i.e. January 1, it crossed the Rs 100 crore mark and now some interesting figures have come out about its performance in the Indian market.

'Mufasa: The Lion King' has performed brilliantly at the Indian box office. Not only this, India has also become the sixth highest-grossing market for the film globally. India has become the sixth highest-grossing market for Mufasa: The Lion King after France, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Italy, and Germany. This also means that it has surpassed China at the global box office. It has grossed Rs 12.82 crore in India. Mufasa: The Lion King's China collection is Rs 1.17 crore.

The other top five markets for the film are France with a gross collection of Rs 2.10 crore, the United Kingdom with a gross collection of Rs 1.58 crore, Mexico with a gross collection of Rs 1.56 crore, Italy with a gross collection of Rs 1.41 crore and Germany with a gross collection of Rs 1.36 crore.

A few reasons have come together in making 'Mufasa: The Lion King' achieve this feat in India. The earlier film was 'The Lion King' which fared very well in 2019 and it was a story that impressed people. It is a film meant for families who usually come out in full force on holidays. Also, the voice of Shah Rukh Khan in Hindi and Mahesh Babu in Telugu attracted movie lovers. More than that, the response was good.
