Jaideep Ahlawat was going to play important character in Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana, but things went wrong

Ranbir Kapoor's highly-awaited movie 'Ramayana' is in continuous talks since the announcement. News is coming intermittently regarding the cast of this movie to the shooting. Another piece of news regarding the movie is coming out now. In which it is being informed that actor Jaideep Ahlawat was also discussed for the role of Vibhishan in 'Ramayana' and also the actor was very excited for this role, but then this issue didn't work out.

If reports are to be believed, Jaideep Ahlawat was the first choice of the makers for the character of Vibhishan. The makers also talked to Jaideep Ahlawat for this role. The actor himself was also very keen to do this mythology film. However, the dates thwarted Jaideep Ahlawat's wishes. Due to his schedule and lack of dates, Jaideep Ahlawat had to refuse this role. Sources associated with the production said that the producers were keen to bring him for the lead role, but the dates were simply not matching.

However, Jaideep Ahlawat was not the only one in the race for the role of Vibhishan. Last year, there were also many talks that Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi was also talked to for the role of Vibhishan. However, later there too the matter could not be finalized and Vijay Sethupathi also missed playing this character.

Ranbir Kapoor for the role of Lord Rama in 'Ramayana', Sai Pallavi for the role of Sita Mata and KGF star Yash for the role of Ravana have been finalized. While there are talks of Sunny Deol playing the role of Hanuman ji in the film.

The shooting of 'Ramayana' directed by Nitesh Tiwari is currently going on. Not much information has been revealed about the film yet. The film is to be released in two parts. Its first part is likely to be released in the year 2026 while the second part in 2027.
