Manjot Singh shared childhood memories, celebrated Baisakhi with love and service

Today, the Baisakhi festival is being celebrated. It is celebrated with a lot of pomp and show throughout the country. Actor Manjot Singh, who hails from Delhi, has good memories of celebrating Baisakhi. His memories involve going to gurudwara and assisting with preparations and spending time at home. All of us look forward to this festival, which is celebrated as the Sikh New Year.

Actor Manjot Singh told how he celebrates this day. According to Hindustan Times, he said, 'We celebrate it by distributing sweets and organizing langar. We celebrate it comfortably, lovingly, without much noise and commotion, with family.'

Sharing an anecdote from his personal life, Manjot recalled the lesson he learned from his mother, he said, 'My mother always says that Baisakhi comes once a year, but whenever you eat, you should always pray for the farmers' good harvest. So I always pray even today.'

Sharing his childhood memories, the actor says that this day also meant dedicating it to service at the Gurudwara for him. He said, 'On Baisakhi day, we did not play. We used to spend time in the Gurudwara, cleaning it, decorating it, and contributing to the langar, like we used to give ration, we used to do all this. We also used to do langar seva." Talking about his favorite dish, he said that his mother always makes kheer on Baisakhi.
